CarBahn Performance Controller (CPC):

The CPC is a plug and play ECU that increases boost pressure in turbocharged cars to dramatically increase HP and Torque. The unit has selectable maps through a Bluetooth app on your smart phone.

You can download these apps for your smartphone through the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.

 

These maps are designed to accommodate different octane fuels for additional increased performance. You can choose between 91, 93 and 100 Octane.

As with all CarBahn products an optional powertrain warranty can be purchased.

If you want to trade your CarBahn Performance Controller in for software in the future, there is a $500 upgrade fee and if you purchased the warranty, it is transferable to the software at no additional charge!

A note on self-tuning tools. There are now programs available that you can buy to tune your car yourself. Many of these tools come with canned programs. Be careful as tuning a high output engine requires tremendous knowledge and experience to extract maximum power without damage.

Emissions legality:

A note on down pipes (removing the catalyst). We have run back-to-back dyno runs with the cat on and off and the power gain is much smaller than most people claim usually around 11hp. We all need to breathe the air. It is difficult to get your car its required emissions test without catalyst and it is illegal.

High boost with stock engine:

We have seen many damaged engines as result of making too much power with a stock engine. While modern engines are very reliable, it is easy to add large turbochargers and water methanol injection and break the engine. Philosophy: Intelligent software

CarBahn intelligent software has the ability to adapt to a large range of fuels octanes. Our software keeps all safety features and the ability to adapt smoothly form 91 octene to 100 octane and because it can adapt and still make maximum power with each octane you do not need to purchase a custom tune if you are running race gas! It is designed to deliver the highest safe output possible. Smooth Power means software tuned correctly, not over-tuned. We always try to make a natural torque curve, not excessive torque at low RPM that falls off rapidly at high RPM. Excessive torque will break the tires loose, break the engine and drivetrain. Managed torque with a smooth delivery makes the car easier to drive thereby faster and more reliable. Most if not all our competitor tunes attempt to run too much boost, and then compromise reliability by reducing knock sensitivity and thermal protections in an attempt to extract extra power which can cause engine damage.

Durability:

Most if not all tunes on the market except CarBahn reduce safety parameters in the software to extract more power. These safety parameters such as knock control sensitivity, super knocking control sensitivity, and catalyst thermal protection are tuned into your OEM software to prevent engine and catalyst failure. When we reduced all the supposed power robbing software protections, we lost less than 8 HP and 8 lb-ft Torque. We have seen many damaged engines as result of reducing these safety parameters! It hardly seems worth it for 8HP.

Doing it yourself:

A note on self-tuning tools. There are now programs available that you can buy to tune your car yourself. Many of these tools come with canned programs. Be careful as tuning a high output engine requires tremendous knowledge and experience to extract maximum power without damage.

Emissions legality:

A note on down pipes (removing the catalyst). We have run back-to-back dyno runs with the cat on and off and the power gain is much smaller than most people claim usually around 11hp. We all need to breathe the air. It is difficult to get your car its required emissions test without catalyst and it is illegal.

High boost with stock engine:

We have seen many damaged engines as result of making too much power with a stock engine. While modern engines are very reliable, it is easy to add large turbochargers and water methanol injection and break the engine. On the F9X, maximum safe power on a stock engine is 800 lb-ft flywheel torque. CarBahn makes high performance engines designed to handle more power. More information is available on this web site.

Increasing boost generates more heat. The addition of the heat exchanger allows you to run more boost safely by reducing charge air temperature. This reduction in charge air temperature also makes more power.  This is particularly noticeable in summer months when ambient temperatures are higher.

When used in conjunction with CarBahn software the addition of this heat exchanger provides enough safety that we can offer a factory matching warranty on your engine and drivetrain.

Dual intercoolers 

CarBahn CSF larger dual intercoolers is a very efficient heat exchanging that will allow you to run more boost and extract more power. They are a very efficient intercooler replacement and are tied into the stock heat exchanger circuit. They work best when used in conjunction with CarBahn heat exchangers and software. They are designed to compensate for additional heat generated by increased boost. The reduced intake air temperature increases air density and is a must to extract maximum power and ensure reliability of the engine with High boost applications.

CarBahn high flow replacement air filters for your OEM airbox.  With less restriction and similar cleaning characteristics, these filters will increase the breathability of your high-performance engine. CarBahn measured a power gain of 15 hp.

The Forgeline VX1 is a fully-forged one-piece monoblock wheel that utilizes manufacturing technology similar to our very successful GA1R wheel. Beyond just beautiful style, the Forgeline VX1 one piece monoblock wheel is engineered to allow plenty of room for caliper clearance and extreme brake fitment. The one-piece monoblock forging and computer-simulated FEA design process yield a wheel that is lightweight, stiff, and has excellent fatigue strength.
